2004 Fall Trek

The Region 15 Fall Meeting was held on October 9th, 2004 at the Ramada Inn in Palmdale CA. Thank you to Cheryl Deaton, President of HDI&DS and her members for putting together a great day. Elections were held with all incumbents returning to office for the next year. Many irises were donated by members of Region 15 and were avalable to the members for a nominal price. There were many newer irises that were selling for $5.00 and older iris were $3.00 with quite a selection to choose from, including many of Bernarn Hamners introductions.

George and Margaret Sutton from "Sutton’s Iris Gardens" in Porterville California were our guests and George provided a 2 hour judges training on Space Agers and Rebloomers. This was one of the best judges training programs we have had in Region 15. George also provided us with a program following the luncheon entitled "Where Are We Going from Here". One of the intriguing items George is working on is the color splashes found in standards or falls, also being displayed in the flounces of the iris.

There were a number of items donated as door prizes, including Suttons Iris Gardens; Cadd’s Beehive Iris Garden, Schreiner’s Iris Gardens and Eclectic Garden Iris Jewelry.
